Sevilla – Capital of Andalucia: While this city has such innumerous artistic, cultural, leisure, social and tourist attractions, is has also become one of the most-visited cities in the world.
While he three golf courses around Sevilla are a good challenge for any level, the RCG Sevilla is also one of the TOP 10 courses in Spain.
The provinz of Cadiz reaches from Sotogrande to Cadiz & Jerez. The region is a must for everybody who likes Spanish wine and culture. It is famous for its Sherry wine, the Moto GP, cosy little towns and its long sandy beaches. A great combination for your golf holiday experience. It is home to the Real GC Valderrama, the Nº 1 golf course in Spain as well as La Reserva, San Roque and Montecastillo, Sherry Golf course, La Estancia and many more.
Huelva with El Rompido, Islantilla and Isla Canela has become an important golf destination to Spain, also because it is bordering to Portugal’s Algarve and its golf courses like Monte del Rei. The combination of playing golf at the Costa de la Luz as well as at the Algarve gives your golf holiday in this golf destination an additional advantage.
While the Costa de la Luz reaches from Huelva upto Tarifa, the provinz of Cadiz reaches from Sotogrande to Cadiz & Jerez. Sotogrande, part of the Costa del Sol, is the home to the Real GC Valderrama, the Nº 1 golf course in Spain, venue of the Estrella Damm NA Andalucia Masters. Other important TOP golf courses in the area are La Reserva, San Roque, the RCG Sotogrande, La Hacienda Links.
CADIZ, the “Tacita del Plata” is considered the oldest city in the Western World.
The Plaza Mina, home to the Museum of Cadiz, is very well-known, with its famous Phoenician sarcophagi and works in its Fine Art section which make it one of the most important picture galleries in the country.
Calle Zorrilla, the tapa-bar street par excellence, leads to the Alameda Apodaca Gardens the Genovés Park, which offer perfect views of the sea. Continuing to stroll a little further round, the visitor comes to Cadiz port, regular stopping-off point for tourist cruise ships travelling between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.
The El Pópulo District, which is the oldest in the city, retains the three gates to the original Medieval city: the El Pópulo, De la Rosa and De los Blancos Arches, apart from the Roman Theatre and the one-time Cathedral, Santa Cruz Church. CARNIVAL AND THE FALLA THEATRE The Falla Theatre draws thousands of people for over 20 days, as it is host to the Cadiz Carnival Groups Competition. Carnival, which has been declared of International Tourist Interest, is the city’s most important festival.
Jerez de la Frontera, known for its Horse Fair, Motor racing at the Montecastillo Circuit and its Sherry wineries.
The town, one of Andalusia’s most typical and considered to be the home of flamenco, boasts an endless list of tourist attractions, ranging from monuments such as the Alcázar, Iglesia de Santiago and San Miguel churches, the Catedral and the Cartuja Monastery, to singular institutions like the Real Escuela de Arte Ecuestre, where the marvellous Carthusian horses, a unique Spanish-Arabic breed, can be admired, or the cellars where the famous Sherry wines are produced.
Events: A few days after the Sevilla Fair is the Horse Fair in Jerez de la Frontera, where the best horses from the region can be seen.
At the end of May, the Manzanilla Sherry Fair takes place in Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
