Renovations & Updates
The hotel is the perfect venue for corporate events and business celebrations. It opened in 2001 and underwent a massive overhaul in 2016. In July 2018 the Peralada Wine Spa & Golf Hotel has completed its third phase of renovations, resulting in:
- 2 new Junior Suites,
- the new golf shop,
- the new Garden Bar.
The two new Junior Suites feature independent access to the hotel and a private garden. They are also pet friendly and guests can rent beds for their pet for a well-deserved vacation for the entire family. The suites are named after operas: Carmen and La Traviata, following the trend started with the other suites named after pieces performed at the Peralada Festival.
In addition to the wineries and vineyards of Vins i Caves Perelada (D.O. Empordà), which are internationally renowned for its wines and sparkling wines and the wine tourism experiences that they organize, the Resort also includes a cultural complex made up of the Carme church and the Gothic cloister, a library and the wine, ceramic and glass museums.

FESTIVAL CASTELL DE PERALADA
The Castell de Peralada International Music Festival is held in July and August in the wonderful outdoor auditorium, while the Carme cloister and church, with their fantastic acous- tics, are used to host smaller shows.
Every summer, great operas and concerts are featured on the stage, with prestigious international soloists, great ballets put on by the best international dance companies and jazz and pop concerts. They are complemented by exhibitions, dramatic readings, children’s shows, theatre.
Along with the festival, the castle gardens are turned into a wonderful outdoor buffet: La Parrilla del Castell.
Peralada Wine SPA
The Wine Spa is a wellness and beauty centre inspired by Peralada’s wine-making tradition. It offers visitors a wide range of facial and body treatments based on the beneficial properties of wine and grape derivatives that fight free radicals, stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, and promote blood circulation.

Then bring the temperature down again with an invigorating barrel shower. Plunge into the heated pool, with water jets to relax your neck muscles, and then move on to the Jacuzzi.
Discover the traditional Hammam and disconnect from the world, boost your circulation with the pediluvium, and finally finish up in the relaxation area with hot stones.

El Celler water zone
Your accommodation includes the access to the “El Celler” water zone. 
Exceptional additional services in the water zone are: Divinum: a unique and private space for groups of 6 to 12 people where one can find peace and tranquillity within the intimacy of the group. The duration of 2 hours includes a 10 min. massage for each attendee as well as fruit and cava. The Divinum consists of a water circuit with jacuzzi, sensation showers (representing the red, rosé and white wines, and water flows at different pressure and temperature), dry sauna, ice fountain, hammam (steam bath), foot bath and a relaxation area.

WINE TOURISM
Wine tourism at Peralada is one of the activities that keeps growing year by year. Following the winemaking tradition started by the Carmelite priests in the 14th century, today Peralada crafts extremely prestigious wines, taking advantage of the heterogeneity of its soils and the exceptional climate of the Empordà.
It includes wine-related experiences in unique sites, such as the vineyards of Malaveïna, one of Perelada’s five estates in the Empordà, and a spectacular room with 5,000 barrels and the historical cave where wine has been made since the Middle Ages, as well as a meticulous selection of guided tastings of wines and sparkling wines from Perelada and the most prestigious brands from regions like Australia, California and Champagne, which are distributed in Spain by Perelada Comercial.

The Castle of Peralada, whose roots date back to the Middle Ages, is the heart of the Peralada Resort where visitors can find numerous entertainment and cultural activities.
Casino Peralada offers gambling options such as gaming machine and itable rooms, a poker room and the traditional roulette wheels and blackjack tables.
The gastronomic offer includes the Castell Peralada Restaurant with one Michelin Star, specializing in Catalan and Mediterranean cuisine. Also, there is the casino Snack bar and outside of the castle, El Grill del Celler, a restaurant open every day with a daily set menu and the best in grilling from the Empordà.
Shows and concerts also have a place in Peralada: the Cotton Club hosts small concerts, while the Pavelló del Parc, which fits up to 1,000 people, hosts dinner shows, the gin and tonic festival and large-scale festivals and celebrations.
CULTURE – Museum Library & Art Collection:
Next to the castle is the historical-cultural site that houses the museum, the library and the art collections.
In the 14th-century Carme convent, you can find the cloister and the Gothic church where religious ceremonies are held, along with small concerts and recitals in the summer.
The Library of the Castle contains more than 100,000 volumes and 1001 different versions of Don Quixote. Every year, it organizes a themed exhibition and in 2017 it was dedicated to the photo archive of the Palau de Peralada, a collection on the history of the pioneers of photography from Empordà. It also hosts lectures and symposia.
The glass and ceramic museum and the wine museum harbor the large private collections started by Miquel Mateu.
