The nine holes that make up Lagos are watermarked. Water in-front and at either side affects five holes. The 8th hole , a par 3 of 160 meters, is known for ” The demon” . The water feature is on the right side and accompanies the player from tee to green. It is a very difficult hole as halfway through you will find water also on your left side and as a top-up there is a large bunker protecting the green. Secure players will go straight for the green and the player knowing its limitations will opt for a middle long stroke reaching the green with the second shot instead of sending the ball into the lake. The existing lakes in this part of the course have become over time to protected waters due to the wide variety of aquatic birds found in them.
